The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) has awarded $250,000.00 to the Borough for the Enola Low Grade Rail Trail Connector. The connector trail will allow visitors to enter the Borough as well as provide access for residents to enter the trail off of North Lime Street. The connector trail will allow access by persons of all abilities as well as provide a very attractive entrance area with signage and native plantings. The Lancaster County Commissioners had previously awarded $150,000.00 for the project. This DCNR award will bring the project to nearly 80% funding. The Borough anticipates the project to begin construction in late 2024 or early 2025.
