At the Places 2040 Planning Leadership Awards Celebration held on May 9, 2023, the Borough was honored by receiving a Planning Award for their Active Transportation Plan adopted by Borough Council in September, 2022. The celebration was hosted by the Lancaster County Planning Department. The Active Transportation Plan was created by a steering committee which consisted of a group of volunteers representing various interests in active transportation.
